A Baseline gives you a place to start reading an analysis. Each row keeps a Feature, its claim wording, and its cited passages together.
Read across one row
Start with the Feature number on the left. The middle column contains the frozen claim wording for that Feature. The evidence column holds its selected passages.
Some Features contain several Units. Their letter markers let you select a smaller part of the claim and inspect its evidence links. A Unit can cover more than one phrase, and phrases can overlap. Selecting a marker keeps that relationship visible.
Follow the citation
Select a passage to open its location in the source document. The source panel sits beside the reading view on a large screen and below it on a small screen.
A location can identify a page, paragraph, figure or region. The viewer uses the precision available in the published result. It does not turn a broad paragraph location into an exact word highlight.
You can hide the source panel while comparing rows, then reopen it without losing your place.
Read the limitations with the evidence
A status such as PARTIAL belongs to the published analysis. It is not a verdict about a patent. Expand the associated notes and check which part of a Unit the passage addresses.
Some Units share a passage. The viewer preserves those connections so that repeated links are not mistaken for independent evidence.
Share the same version
Use Share in the Baseline view to send its release link. A reader who is not signed in sees the approved preview for that release. A reader with a verified account can open the published full view when access is available.
